<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film roll that suppresses defects such as wrinkles and sagging without changing properties of the film having excellent dimensional stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polyester film roll is a film roll obtained by winding on a core a biaxially oriented film comprising a polyester having (i) a dicarboxylic acid component containing ≥5 mol% and <50 mol% of a 6,6'-(alkylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid components and >50 mol% and ≤95 mol% of another aromatic dicarboxylic acid components and (ii) a diol component containing 90-100 mol% of a 2-10C alkylene glycol component. When the diameter of the roll is measured in a roll width direction and a straight line connecting both the ends of the diameter is drawn on the curve of obtained roll diameter, the maximum length (maximum projection) in a projected part from the straight line is ≤300 μm and the maximum length (maximum recession) in a recessed part from the straight line is ≤200 μm.
