<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition imparted with flame retardancy by non-halogen flame retardant, producing a molded article excellent in flame retardancy and electrical safety. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt of a resin component comprising (A-1) 40-100 wt.% of a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, (A-2) 0-50 wt.% of a polystyrene resin, and (A-3) 0-10 wt.% of a compatibilizing agent; (B) 40-100 pts.wt of a flame retardant comprising (B-1) 10-50 wt.% of a cyanophenoxy group-containing phosphazene flame retardant, (B-2) 20-70 pts.wt of a nitrogen-based flame retardant consisting of a salt of an amino group-containing triazine, (B-3) 0-20 pts.wt of a metal salt of a boric acid; and (C) 0-200 pts.wt of an inorganic filler, wherein polyphenylene ether resin, polyphenylene sulfide resin, and phenol resin (excluding those used as the compatibilizing agents) are not contained or, if any, contained in the amount of not more than 1 wt.%.
