<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform elevation adjustment of a vehicle body, without causing leakage of the pressure fluid which is to be supplied. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vehicle height adjusting unit for adjusting the vehicle height, by making advanced and retreated an expansion rod of a shock absorber S which includes a cylinder 50 having a fluid pressure chamber Ra, where the fluid is flowed in and out, and a plunger 14 interposed in the fluid pressure chamber Ra. The vehicle height adjusting unit includes an inside wall part 2, where the cylinders 50 are opposed at the outside of a coil spring 55, and an outside wall part 3 spaced from the inside wall part 2. The fluid pressure chamber Ra is formed between the inside wall part 2 and the outside wall part 3, the plunger 14 is provided so as to move back and forth in the axial direction of the coil spring 55. Either the cylinder 50 or the plunger 14 is connected and is fixed to the expansion rod 51 so as to enable advancement and retreat to and from the expansion rod 51, and the remaining other side is abutted against the coil spring 55.
