<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire manufacturing method which enables the easy and smooth expansion of an inner liner of a tire formed of a resin film, while sufficiently securing the inner pressure retention of the tire. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Cylindrical resin film layers 21 and 22 formed of resin film pieces 21H and 22H severed circumferentially, are arranged on the outer circumference of a molding drum, superposing over each other in the diametral direction. Further, the resin film layers 21 and 22 are expanded outwardly in the diametral direction by pressuring the resin film layers 21 and 22 from the inside. In compliance with such expansion, the resin film pieces 21H and 22H of each resin film layer 21 and 22, are circumferentially separated from each other, and at the same time, the separation parts, each between the resin film pieces 21H and 22H of the diametrally adjacent respective resin film layers 21 and 22, are arranged in the way that the separation parts are circumferentially deviated from each other. In addition, the circumferentially adjacent resin film pieces 21H and 22H are circumferentially overlapped each other so that the edge parts of the film pieces 21H and 22H may lie one upon another and thus, the inner liner 20 is formed.
