<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination strainer and grater in which the mass production of a fine and homogeneous strained article is possible and the grated article of yams without the possibility of causing the deterioration of grated yam can be mass-produced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The combination strainer and grater consists of a cylindrical case 3 equipped with a delivery chute 6, a rotary teeth edge tube 7, which is rotatably installed with holding outflow space 8 in space for the case internal face, and a lid 5 which is equipped a throwing in port 4, which is opened toward the inside of the rotary tooth edge tube 7, and a guide lamina 10 on the inferior surface, and a charged material to be processed is guided to the inside of beak-like space 12 formed by the guide lamina 10 and the inner side face of the rotary tooth edge tube 7 by centrifugal force accompanying the rotation of the rotary teeth edge tube 7, and is straining or grating processed by tooth edges 7a on the internal face of the rotary tooth edge tube 7 by being press stopped by the end portion 10c of the guide lamina there, and a formed workpiece flows out of a small hole row 7b immediately formed in the rotary tooth edge tube 7 to the outflow space 8.
