PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorber with a fine sound absorbing effect in a low-frequency region, in which selection of materials is highly flexible. SOLUTION: In the sound absorber 1 including a frame 2 in which a through-hole 2a is formed, and a film vibration type sound absorbing material 3 which covers either of apertures of both ends of the through-hole 2a, the film vibration type absorbing material 3 includes a film body 31 and a weight member 32 provided in a gravity center section of the film body 31.
