<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring board and a linear light unit which allow further miniaturization even when wires are laid out side by side closely to two patterns, and maintain high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: In a wiring board 11, a wiring pattern comprising a first pattern 110 and a second pattern 120 formed while being spaced apart from the first pattern 110 at an interval S are formed on an insulating substrate 11a and on one side 110a of a head portion of the first pattern 110, a protection element connecting part 112, to which a wire 16b is connected from a direction of the second pattern 120, is formed while being protruded from the other side 110b. On the other side 120b of a head portion of the second pattern 120, a connecting part 121 on the side of a light-emitting element (p), to which a wire 16c is connected from a direction of the first pattern 110, is formed while being protruded from one side 120a.
