<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a data format of job to be processed so that data processing load of each processing unit can be distributed, when processing in parallel a plurality of jobs using a plurality of data processing units. <P>SOLUTION: The data processing apparatus includes a data processing means for instructing a plurality of data processing units for making job data process and a determining means for determining whether the first job data it to be processed with the relevant data processing means using the data of the first data format which requires a longer time for the process, by using the second data processing unit than that required for the process using the first data processing unit or using the data of the second data format which requires a longer time for the process using the first data processing unit than that required for the process using the second data processing unit.
