<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connection unit that reduces dust generated in installation, by continuously using an optical fiber connecting tool after assembling an optical cable to an optical fiber connector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber connection unit 1 includes: an optical fiber connector 4 for connecting optical fibers between an optical cable 2 and an optical cable 3; and an optical fiber connecting tool 5. The surface side of the tool body 20 of the optical fiber connecting tool 5 is used when the optical cables 2, 3 are assembled to the optical fiber connector 4. On the reverse side of the tool body 20, there is installed a connector housing part 35 for positioning and housing the optical fiber connector 4 in which the optical cables 2, 3 are assembled. In addition, on both ends on the reverse side of the tool body 20, there are each installed cable fixing parts 38, 40 for clamping the optical cables 2, 3 that are assembled in the optical fiber connector 4.
