<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always sufficiently perform opening/closing operation even if an expensive material is not used as a main valve. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tool is provided with an air chamber for storing high pressure air; a hitting cylinder 10 for slidably storing a hitting piston 11 integrally bonded to a hitting means; and the main valve 8 for opening/closing compression air in the air chamber into the hitting cylinder 10 by vertical motion. In the pneumatic tool, a cylinder seal 22 having elasticity is provided on an outer periphery of the hitting cylinder 10, the high pressure air in the air chamber is opened/closed relative to the hitting cylinder 10 by abutting/leaving the main valve 8 to the cylinder seal 22, and a small hole 28 for discharging the compression air circulated around the back surface side of the cylinder seal 22 from the air chamber into the hitting cylinder 10 at opening operation of the main valve 8 is penetrated and formed at a back surface side of the cylinder seal 22 of the hitting cylinder 10.
