PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner supplied from a toner supply part from being slid on a developer surface and carried still in the non-charged state to a stirring and carrying supply part on the developing roller side.

SOLUTION: This developing device includes: a developer support 16 including a rotatable developing sleeve and a fixed magnet group as a magnetic field generating means fixedly disposed in the developing sleeve; a developer regulating member 17 for regulating the quantity of a developer on the surface of the developing sleeve; and a first carrying means 18 and a second carrying means 19 disposed parallel to the developing sleeve to carry the developer to the developing sleeve. In the developing device, a magnetic member 19a having magnetic carrying force in the rotating direction of the developer is disposed in the interior of one of the first and second carrying means 18, 19.
