摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of in-plane switching mode type, which can fix a position where a reverse rotation domain occurs accurately and can achieve more excellent quality and reliability of image than those of conventional image. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device of the in-plane switching mode type having at least a pair of substrates arranged by opposing to each other, a liquid crystal layer nipped and held between the substrates, and a pair of liquid crystal driving electrodes formed on one side or both of opposing sides of the substrate, at least either of the pair of liquid crystal driving electrodes has at least one comb-toothed part, which in turn has a projecting part branched from the comb-toothed part at a branching point before a tip part and/or a terminal part, and a plane shape constituted by the tip part and/or the terminal part and the projecting part together is a substantially L-shaped branched shape.
