<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy by reducing the measurement error of the buried depth of a buried object. <P>SOLUTION: This method of measuring the burial depth of an object buried in an inspection medium includes a step of obtaining the apparent buried depth of the buried object by calculating and processing the propagation speed of the shortest reflection time obtained from the first transmitting/receiving data of a first transmitting/receiving unit 26 in which a transmitting part and a receiving part are arranged on a plane in proximity to each other and the second transmitting/receiving data of the second transmitting/receiving data of a second transmitting/receiving unit 30 in which the center of the first transmitting/receiving unit is disposed at the centers of the transmitting part and the receiving part, a step of obtaining the actual reflection time by correcting a refractive index produced by the gap between the transmitting/receiving unit and the inspection medium for the buried depth of the buried object for correcting and calculating the buried depth of the buried object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
