PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a porous resin film for simplifying processes to improve productivity and producing a porous resin film having desired pores, to provide a porous resin film obtained by using this method, and to provide a cell separator using the porous resin film. SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous resin film includes a process for mixing a heat-resistant resin, thermally disappearing resin particles containing a polyoxyalkylene resin, and a solvent together to prepare a resin composition for a film, a process for film-forming the composition for a film, and a process for heating the composition formed into the film.
