PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic warp knit in a double-layer knit efficiently knittable so as to prevent an elastic yarn from being exposed to the outer surface side. SOLUTION: The elastic warp knit is knitted efficiently as follows. The elastic yarn 1 and a nonelastic yarn 2 are alternately interknitted to the F-layer on the front surface side and the B-layer on the back surface side by using two reeds, and both the F and B layers are integrally bound so that the elastic yarn 1 alternately interknitted in the F-layer at the front surface side and the B-layer at the back surface side may naturally be withdrawn to the inside of the knit of the double-layer knit by the elastic shrinkage between the layers to prevent the elastic yarn 1 from being exposed to the outer surface side.
