The cable (1) has a flexible plastic body (7) and an expanding element (17) connected with the body to fix the cable in a preset position in a vessel or a body cavity of a patient. A detachable connection is provided between the cable and the expanding element such that the cable is explanted under arrangement of the expanding element in a body of the patient after releasing the connection. The element is arranged on a platinum clamping ring (17a) that is held on the body by a connection element. The expanding element is made of absorbable shape-elastic foam plastic- or fleece element.
