<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a substrate of a display device for suppressing occurrence of uneven coating caused by an organic insulation film or the like when coating resist, and a substrate of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a substrate for a display device comprises the following procedures: a plate member 60 containing a plurality of parts 60a corresponding to the substrate 12 of a plurality of displays having a display area 64 and a peripheral area 66 respectively is created; a pattern restriction area 68 is specified between two lines connecting both ends of one side on the side of the center O of the plate member 60 and the center O of the display area 64 in the peripheral area 66; an organic material layer is applied to the plate member 60; the organic material layer is patterned so as to restrict the pattern structure 50 in which the organic material layer is isolated in a pattern restriction area 68; a further layer is formed on the organic material layer; and the plate member 60 is divided into substrates of a plurality of display devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
