A multi-drawer device includes a first drawer (20) and a second drawer (20), each carried by a housing (11), and movable between a closed position dispos ed within a housing and an open position extending from the housing. A first slide assembly (30) couples the first drawer (20) to the housing (11) and a second slide assembly (30) couples the second drawer (20) to the housing (11 ). A ramp (42) and follower (44) are each associated with the first drawer (20) and the follower (44) is adapted to contact and slide along the ramp (42). A first blocking device (46) is associated with the second slide assembly (30) and coupled to one of the ramp (42) and the follower (44). The ramp (42), th e follower (44) and the first blocking device (46) all cooperate such that as the first drawer (20) moves from the closed position toward the open positio n, the follower (44) contacts and slides along the ramp (42), for moving the first blocking device (46) into a locked position that interferes with the second slide assembly (30) to prevent the second drawer from moving to the open position.
