PET FOOD AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for preparing pet food containing illite, chlorite, organic sulfur and citric acid together with general compound pet food is provided to reduce the animal smell and to improve diarrhea prevention effect. CONSTITUTION: Illite and chlorite are pulverized with coarse particles. Impurities are assorted and removed, and then naturally dried. The naturally dried illite and chlorite are injected in a drying furnace and the heat of 500~700°C is applied. The naturally dried illite and chlorite are pulverized and sieved with a sieve of 200 mesh. The pet food is obtained by mixing general compound pet food 94.24~96.66 weight %, illite powder 1.5~2.5 weight %, chlorite powder 1.5~2.5 weight %, organic sulfur 0.3~0.7 weight %, and citric acid 0.04~0.06 weight %.
