PREPARATION METHOD OF SILICA AEROGEL POWDERS

PURPOSE: A preparation method of a silica aerogel powder is provided to rapidly and stably manufacture a silica aerogel powder under high pressure and to improve the thermal conductivity of the silica aerogel powder. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of silica aerogel powder comprises the following steps: synthesizing silica sol by mixing water glass and acid liquid; producing a wet gel by gelling a mixed solution by adding silica sol to a mixed solution in which water and alcohol are added; reforming the wet gel with a nonpolar organic solvent and an organic silane compound; and drying the surface of the modified gel. A drying step dries the gel at a temperature between 20 ~ 190°C.
