PRODUCTION METHOD OF SILICONE BEAD HAVING SPHERICAL SHAPE AND NARROW PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION

PURPOSE: A production method of silicone bead with spherical shape is provided to ensure high roundness, narrow particle distribution, and to prepare spherical silicone fine particles with reproducibility. CONSTITUTION: A production method of silicone bead with spherical shape comprises the steps of: (i) preparing an alkaline aqueous solution containing a nonionic dispersant; (ii) adding a silane compound of R^1Si(X)3 to the aqueous solution and mixing them; and (iii) performing polycondensation of the mixture while mixing and heating it t form silicone beads with spherical shape. The nonionic dispersant has a structural formula of R^1OCOR^2-(CH2CH2O)n-H (polyoxyethylene sorbitane fatty acid esters).
