Cosmetic composition comprises: a cationic surfactant, which is ester compound (I); at least one fatty alcohol; and at least one fatty ester. Cosmetic composition comprises: a cationic surfactant, which is ester compound of formula (R 4-CO-O-CH 2CH 2-N +>R 1R 2R 3-X) (I); at least one fatty alcohol; and at least one fatty ester. X : counter ion; R 1-R 3methyl (preferred), ethyl or propyl; and R 412C hydrocarbon chain, preferably C 17H 35radical. An independent claim is included for a process for treating keratin materials comprising applying the composition on the materials.
