A card CR having an image displaying function includes a central controlling unit MO that controls all of the operations including a data transmitting and receiving process to and from an external apparatus RW, a liquid crystal cell LCD that displays necessary information on the basis of an instruction from the central controlling unit MO, and a power supply unit PW that supplies electric power to each unit of the card. The liquid crystal cell LCD has a combined thickness of 0.60 mm or below in which the second glass plate G2 exposed to a user and the first glass plate G1 not exposed to the user are bonded. The peripheral fringe of the second glass plate G2 has a side surface that is physically cut and separated. The peripheral fringe of the first glass plate G1 has a physically cut-out line formed therein that is smoothened by an etching process. |
