A NOVEL LDOX GENE ISOLATED FROM DENDRANTHEMA GRANDIFORUM AND A METHOD FOR SCREENING FLOWER COLOR MUTANTS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A novel LDOX gene isolated from Dendranthema grandiforum Chrysanthemum is provided to use as a marker for selecting flower color mutant. CONSTITUTION: A polypeptide having leucocyanidin dioxygenase(LDOX) activation is selected from a polypeptide encoded by cDNA of sequence number 1, polypeptide encoded by polynucleotide hybridized with the cDNA, polypeptide encoded by genome DNA of sequence number 2, and a polypeptide encoded by polypeptide hybridized with the genome DNA. The polypeptide having LDOX activation or its mutant, or their activation fragment is derived from Dendranthema grandiforum Chrysanthemum.
