NEW PLANT VARIETY OF ROSE 'HONAMI'

PURPOSE: A novel rose species Honami is provided to ensure high quality and last red violet color. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a novel rose species Honami comprises: a step of irradiating 70 Gy60Co of gamma ray to original species rose plant to induce red violet color chimera mutant; and a step of cultivating in a greenhouse for two year to induce mutant. Honami has: red violet-colored petal, 12.0cm of petal width, and 36 petals, and 10cm of plant length.
