PURPOSE: A light emitting module and a backlight unit using the same are provided for two optical modules to emit light respectively in a side direction and an upper direction in a lying state, thereby obtaining a wide directional angle at an approximate 170 degrees. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting module(54) includes a first optical module(50) and a second optical module(52). The first optical module and the second optical module include a light emitting device and a fluorescent substance block. The light emitting device is mounted in the electrode of the upper side of a substrate(10). The fluorescent substance block is mounted in the upper side of the substrate. The fluorescent substance block covers the upper and lateral parts of the light emitting device. The fluorescent substance block releases light from the light emitting device in an upper direction and a side direction. The lower surfaces of the first optical module and the second optical module face to each other. The first optical module and the second optical module lay down and are installed. |
