PURPOSE: A method for dynamically determining actual residual operating periods of filters in a filter device and a device therefor are provided to determine the actual residual operating periods, and to filter dust and other particles in exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: A device for determining actual residual operating periods of filters in a filter device(10) comprises the following: an electron storage part including enough data which is enough to determine the data and initial filter life; at least one or more sensor(36,37,38) detecting an operation state of the filter device; a computer controller(24) with an executable program adjusting a remaining actual operational period; and a user terminal(26) indicating the remaining actual operational period.
