PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a storage medium are provided to prevent a security dot from being visually realized while improving reproducibility of a color designated by a user when forming a monochrome image from a color image. CONSTITUTION: A determining unit(1102) determines whether a color image includes security dots. A calculating unit calculates a mixing ratio for mixing respective color components of the color image to prevent security dots from being recognized when a monochrome image converted from the color image is printed on a printing medium. A converting unit(1103) converts the color image into a monochrome image at a mixing ratio calculated by the calculating unit. A dividing unit divides the color image into image data of respective color components. |
