NEW CALIBRATION METHOD OF MULTI-VIEW CAMERA FOR A OPTICAL MOTION CAPTURE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for calibrating a multi camera for an optical motion capture device is provided to use one separable calibration frame to calibrate a camera without complex calculation. CONSTITUTION: An image required for calibration is obtained by sensing movement of a marker within a calibration frame(S100). A corresponding point between the images is extracted using labeling and a center point of the marker(S120). A basic matrix is calculated using only an image belonging to a predetermined error range(S130). A camera matrix is calculated using the basic matrix(S140). A 3D coordinate projection-restored from the center point of the marker and the camera matrix is calculated(S150). A conversion matrix between the 3D coordinate of the marker and the projection-restored 3D coordinate is calculated using the calibration frame(S160).
