PURPOSE: A photo detection circuit and an image display device using the same are provided to simplify a structure of an image display apparatus by including a light detection unit in a display panel of amorphous silicon. CONSTITUTION: In a photo detection circuit and an image display device using the same, a plurality of sensor units(S1-Sn) outputs a photo current signal corresponding to radiation intensity. A plurality of I / V transform units(D1-Dn) generates a plurality of digital signals according to external brightness variation. A plurality of memory units(M1-Mn) stores a plurality of digital signals. A plurality of buffers(B1-Bn) compensates the voltage level of an optical signal and outputs it to an external controller.
