RAPID VENTING APPARATUS FOR CRYOGENIC LIQUID VESSEL

PURPOSE: A rapid exhaust apparatus for a cryogenic liquid container is provided to minimize the risk of explosion accidents by rapidly exhausting compressed gas when the inner pressure of the container rises over fixed pressure. CONSTITUTION: The upper part of a container(1) is opened. The container contains cryogenic liquid. An upper plate(2) moves to the position for sealing the upper part of the opened container or opening the opened upper part of the container. The one end of plural springs(3) is contacted with the upper plate in order to apply elastic force for sealing the container on the upper plate. When the inner pressure of the container exceeds the elastic force, the plural springs are compressed to raise the upper plate. A spring support member(4) supports the other end of the spring. The spring support member is fixed on the container.
