The motor has a stator made of a set of segments, where each of the segment has a laminated core (13) and is provided around a winding (11). An end cap (12) and another end cap are provided at axial end regions of the segment, where former cap is positively connected with a retaining ring (50). An encapsulating cap is positively connected with the latter cap lying axially opposite to the former cap. The retaining ring and/or the encapsulating cap are manufactured from plastic. The encapsulating cap projects outwardly and axially over a stator housing.
