The method for plasma arc spot welding of multisheet component of joint partners, comprises generating an ionized plasma gas using an electric arc, and piercing the joint partners at a welding joint by using the plasma gas to selectively and initially melting the joint partners and then fusing the joint partners together, where the piercing step is carried out in a step-wise manner with an outgas. The joint partners are provided with zinc- and/or adhesive layer and/or lacquer layer on one side or both sides. In each step, three zinc and/or lacquer layers and/or adhesive layers are pierced. The method for plasma arc spot welding of multisheet component of joint partners, comprises generating an ionized plasma gas by using an electric arc, and piercing the joint partners at a welding joint by using the plasma gas to selectively and initially melting the joint partners and then fusing the joint partners together, where the piercing step is carried out in a step-wise manner with an outgas. The joint partners are provided with zinc- and/or adhesive layer and/or lacquer layer on one side or both sides. In each step, three zinc and/or lacquer layers and/or adhesive layers are pierced. After piercing the welding joint, a ramp-shaped filler material is added. A current flow produced by the electric arc, the type and/or quantity of the plasma gas and the protective gas and/or the addition of the filler material are controlled independent upon each other. A synergic characteristic is produced in which the parameters for the current flow, plasma gas and addition of filler material for the multisheet component are fixed in dependent of the thickness of the sheet metal of the joint partners. The protective gas contains 40 vol.% of helium.
