<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front pillar for a vehicle, which can maintain a shape substantially similar to a portion provided with no plate nut, can be made thin, and allows a hole to be small if the hole is formed to pass a nut portion through a hollow member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The front pillar 11 has a plate nut 111 comprising a plate portion 117 and a nut portion 118, interposed between the hollow member 53 and an inner panel (pillar inner panel 18), and a nut spill hole portion 121 passing the nut portion 118 through the hollow member 53.
