PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm the position of a region of interest in the body of a subject from outside the subject when a puncture needle is tapped without using a puncture guide. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe includes a probe body 4 having a plurality of ultrasonic transducers housed inside; and a region of interest display part 7 disposed on the outer surface of the probe body 4. The region of interest display part 7 displays the position of the surface including the region of interest within an image obtained through the ultrasonic scanning inside the body of the subject with ultrasonic beams transmitted from the ultrasonic transducers.
