Disclosed is a method for producing a hydrogen-containing fluoroolefin compound represented by formula (2), wherein a fluorine-containing halogen compound represented by formula (1) is brought into contact with 0.1-3 molar equivalents of hydrogen relative to the amount of the fluorine-containing halogen compound in a vapor phase in the presence of a supported-type palladium catalyst wherein the amount of supported palladium is 0.1-2.5% by weight. (In the formulae, n represents an integer of 0-3, and X represents Cl, Br or I.)
