PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FFS mode liquid crystal display panel wherein disconnection of a gate wiring line is suppressed and a surface of a lower electrode is not damaged during formation of the gate wiring line and a common wiring line. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel 10A, the lower electrode 17 made of a transparent conductive material and an upper electrode 26 having a plurality of slits formed therein are layered via an insulating film for every pixel, the upper electrode 26 is electrically connected to a TFT, the lower electrode 17 is electrically connected to the common wiring line 20, the insulating film comprises a layered structure including at least a first insulating film 18 on a first substrate 16 side and a second insulating films 21 and 25 on a liquid crystal layer side, the surface of the lower electrode 17 is coated with the first insulating film 18, the gate wiring line 19 and the common wiring line 20 are formed on the first insulating film 18, and the common wiring line 20 is electrically connected to the lower electrode 17 via a contact hole 22 formed in the first insulating film 18.
