PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging the kind of raw material teas of green tea extracts. SOLUTION: The method for judging the kind of raw material teas of green tea extracts includes amplifying a nucleic acid by using at least one primer set of (1) to (4) having prescribed base sequences, and at least one primer set of (5) and (6), by means of a DNA originated in a green tea extract as a template, further amplifying the nucleic acid by using a primer set of (7) having a prescribed base sequence as a template when the amplified fragment is obtained by using the primer set of (6), and identifying the kind of teas based on the amplification patterns of the nucleic acid by each primer set.
