The open-end rotor spinning machine has a dedicated yarn splicing unit (16) at each workstation (1). It has an integrated preparation/holding unit to prepare the yarn end and hold it in place. During spinning, the spun yarn (9) moves through the splicing unit. A cutter (33), near the splicing unit, severs the yarn under defined control, when the yarn is to be transferred to the splicer. |
