PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition showing good stain resistance and storage stability in a one-pack type application form. SOLUTION: The aqueous coating resin composition comprises (I) a synthetic resin emulsion, (II) a silicon compound represented by following general formula (1) and/or its partial hydrolysis condensate, (III) a photoacid generator. In the formula (R<SP>1</SP>O)<SB>4-a</SB>SiR<SP>2</SP><SB>a</SB>(1): R<SP>1</SP>s are the same or different and each indicates a 1C-10C alkyl group, a 6C-10C aryl group or a 7C-10C aralkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>s are the same or different and each indicates a 1C-10C alkyl group, a 6C-10C aryl group or a 7C-10C aralkyl group; and (a) is an integer of 0-2.
