PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the effect of removing a fundamental frequency component from a multiplied microwave signal in a frequency multiplier for multiplying a fundamental frequency of a microwave signal. SOLUTION: A level detection circuit 32 detects an amplitude level of the fundamental frequency component included in an output microwave signal from a drain terminal 12d of a source-grounded FET 12, and a level detection circuit 34 detects an amplitude level of the fundamental frequency component included in an output microwave signal from a drain terminal 14d of a gate-grounded FET 14. A bias circuit 24 adjusts a bias voltage applied to a gate terminal 14g of the FET 14 on the basis of the result of comparison between the amplitude level of the fundamental frequency component detected by the level detection circuit 32 and that detected by the level detection circuit 34.
