<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure reducing maintenance cost of a rolling bearing and lengthening the service life by inexpensively improving durability in an outer peripheral surface of an outer ring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This rolling bering 8a for a backup roll has an inner ring 9 having an inner ring track 17 on the outer peripheral surface and fitted around and fixed to a support shaft for supporting the backup roll of a metal rolling machine, an outer ring 10a having an outer ring track 20 on an inner peripheral surface, and a plurality of rolling elements 12 rollingly arranged between these inner ring track 17 and outer ring track 20.
