The present invention provides a method for allowing a user of a mobile phone to transmit an emergency rescue request in a safe and quick manner when the user is in a dangerous situation. According to the present invention, a mobile phone or a mobile phone remote control has an emergency button provided with a button cover or recessed such that the button operates only when the button is pressed by forces of predetermined level or higher, so as to prevent the erroneous operation of the button. Emergency call sending can be performed in an automatic and continuous fashion, and an emergency call message may include a home phone number or contact numbers of family members. The mobile phone of the present invention may have an emergency power source such that the phone can be operated even upon the occurrence of a power outage of the phone. The mobile phone of the present invention is provided with the emergency call sending button not only on the main body thereof but also on one or more remote controls for sending emergency calls formed in various shapes of accessories including a necklace, a watch, an earphone, and the like, wherein the remote control has an emergerncy button so as to transmit an emergency rescue signal. It is desirable that the above-described accessory remote control is powered off during ordinary times, and powered on to transmit an emergency rescue signal when the emergency button thereof is pressed. The remote control may turn on the mobile phone even when the mobile phone is turned off. Also, the remote control connects the phone to the base station. It is desirable that the mobile phone is equipped with an emergency power source for an emergency call.
