<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping device which suppresses a transmission of high-frequency vibration, and saves on labor when installing a spring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A damping device 100 makes a natural frequency of system small and reduces a vibration transmissibility of high-frequency vibration. For this purpose, two spring pieces 1 are equipped, and the spring 1 on the upper side of the drawing is arranged between a large diameter section 104A of a bolt 104 and a car body 102, the spring 1 on the lower side of the drawing is arranged between a bracket 101 and the car body 102; the bracket 101 is fixed to the car body 102 with the bolt 104; in the bracket 101, a vibration source 103 is fixed; and since the spring 1 does not slide with respect to a mating member and hysteresis caused by friction is not generated in a load curve, dynamic spring constant does not become large even when an application rage A of the spring 1 is made to be small.
