PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can carry out optimum recovery processing by accurately grasping a state of a formation surface of ejection openings in a recording head, and to provide a recovery processing method of the recording head. SOLUTION: A level of recovery processing is made higher as a recording speed becomes lower when a recording duty is in a high duty range. Consequently, the level of recovery processing is raised as the possibility of adhesion of ink on the formation surface of ejection openings in the recording head becomes higher.
