<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine for a vehicle, which can prevent deterioration in the cooling performance of the entire unit and improve the cooling performance of a rectifier. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine 1 for the vehicle includes a rotor 3, a stator 2 disposed opposed to the rotor 3, a frame 6 supporting the rotor 3 and the stator 2, and the rectifier 5 secured to an outer end face of the frame 6 and having low-loss elements used as rectifying elements.
