PURPOSE: A main muffler for a vehicle is provided to improve the initial oscillation booming, to reduce the oscillation booming in the constant speed section, and to increase the engine output by reducing the back pressure. CONSTITUTION: A main muffler for a vehicle is composed of a main body, four baffles(21,22,23,24), five chambers(31,32,33,34,35), an inlet pipe(40), a first outlet pipe(51), a second output pipe(52), and a middle pipe(70). The four baffles are separately installed in the main body. The five chambers are formed in front and rear sides of the each baffle. The inlet pipe is installed in the upper part of one side of the main body. The first outlet pipe is installed at the lower part of one side of the main body and an inflow end is positioned in the first chamber. The second outlet pipe is installed at the center part of the other side of the main body and an inflow end is positioned in the fifth chamber. One end of the middle pipe is positioned in the first chamber and the other end passing the second chamber is positioned in the third chamber.
