PURPOSE: A heating plate for a microwave oven and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to provide uniform heating over the whole area by being attached to a container for a microwave oven or installed inside of the microwave oven. CONSTITUTION: A heating plate(10) for a microwave oven comprises 70~80weight% of silicon carbide, 10~20weight% of metallic silicon, and 10~20weight% of aluminium oxide. The heating plate is attached to a container(11) for a microwave oven or installed on a case(15) placed inside the microwave oven. When heated, the temperature of the heating plate can reach 300~400°C.
