The box i.e. octagonal tray (3), has opposite parallel peripheral sides (7) developed on its height. A fold is formed at each of edge lines defining the peripheral sides, of an octagonal bottom (5). The fold is provided with a side part (21) whose height is equal to that of the peripheral sides. The side part is integrated to corresponding small peripheral sides to increase the rigidity of the small peripheral sides, where the fold comprises an upper cover part (23) articulated at the side part and integrated to upper edges of the peripheral sides. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a blank for forming a package box (2) a method for assembling a package box using a blank.
