CONSTITUTION: Alloy steel for a steering rack bar comprises carbon 0.38~0.42%, silicon 0.15~0.35%, manganese 0.90~1.10%, phosphorus 0.03% or less, sulfur 0.03% or less, chrome 0.40~0.60%, titanium 0.005~0.025%, aluminum 0.010~0.030%, nitrogen 0.007% or less, the remaining iron and other impurities.</p> |
